Great work Soze!

However I reckon the organizers will of course tell you PD`s set is the greatest thing that ever happened in the History of Metal

Watched both and Scorpions were much much worse than Parkway. Scorpions might be the worst headline set I've ever seen at BOA, it's down there with Slayer in '13.

I watch both too. I very much enjoyed Scorpions, and though it wasn't the best I've seen them, I really can't equate them to the worst headlineer at all. Sadlly, Motorhead (and a clearly unwell Lemmy) probably takes that crown. I thought that, objectively, PWD put on a good show, but it still doesn't change the Demographic shift that PWD fans bring to the fest, which was more my point really.

Scorpions were a comfortable 7 or 8.

Worst headlining band was Ghost by a country mile. Complete and utter shite. Not even a 1. Followed closely by Rob Zombie, Mastodon and Within Temptation.

Anyone who thinks Slayer were bad needs a hearing test. Easily a 8 or 9 both times.

Slayer were a 9 in 2013, but only a 7 in 2016, a lesser offering of more of the same.

I didn't attend in 2015 so I can't say how shite Trivium were, and I tactically avoided Down and Lamb Of God when they played, but Motorhead were by far the worst headliner apart from that lot, they were an absolute shambles.

Yeah Motorhead were definitely the worst. Slayer were great both times and Ghost were fantastic.

Yeah, Gandalf thought the long chamber music before their show was actually the band coming on so left before they actually appeared

I've had a look back at who has headlined (and co-headlined) since I started attending in 2009.

There's not a lot to choose between the top 7 or 8 or so -

Gojira
Nightwish
Twisted Sister (2010)
Opeth
Amon Amarth
Judas Priest
Parkway Drive
Alice Cooper
Twisted Sister (2016)
Europe
Sabaton
Ghost
Megadeth (2014)
Megadeth (2017)
Blind Guardian
Within Temptation
Machine Head
Arch Enemy
Children of Bodom
Fear Factory
Rob Zombie
Slayer (2016)
WASP
King Diamond
Slayer (2013)
Behemoth
Carcass
Lamb of God
Trivium
Down
Motorhead - and it's not even close.

N/a - Emperor - didn't see more than a few minutes.

It's senses? PwD are not my thing at all but Scorpions were so dull at BOA; more power to you if you enjoyed them but they were the worst headliner I've seen at BOA.

Scorpions were very underwhelming. Klaus was struggling to sing and even when he was speaking it was nothing more than mumbling. I didn't feel that they really engaged with the event in a way that other bands, including Parkway Drive, did. Everything that Klaus said was exactly the same as he said at Stone Free last year so it was like he'd written "Bloodstock" on the palm of his hand and had peek at it before saying hello to the crowd. The songs were good, despite the disjointed setlist, and the actual performance was visually impressive in a way, but they gave me the impression of a band running on empty and past their use-by date.

Scorpions weren't that great but I watched all their set, I lasted 3 songs for PD (I really tried but nope). On a plus, PD drove 5 of us away to the Sophie tent and we discovered Taake (surprisingly good).

Worst headliner I have seen is still Trivium in 2015 (1st year I attended), Ghost were pretty shite too.
