Hi everyone,
This year is my first trip to Bloodstock, coming with three mates, not been to a festival since Wacken in 2017 so I'm totally psyched.
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I was just curious where the closest shop or supermarket to the festival site was?
We fly into Birmingham airport so I'd hoped to get a taxi to take us somewhere close by so we could stock up on booze etc. before we arrived.
Cheers

If you take your driver through Lichfield (Up the M6) there's a Tesco Extra, Morrisons and a B&M.
Welcome to Bloodstock!

Note that glass isn't allowed on site (see
https://www.bloodstock.uk.com/pages/event-info for more info about what isn't allowed) so bear that in mind when buying stuff to bring in.

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.
Since gas cannisters and gas stoves are not allowed, does anyone know what other camping/cooking equipment is allowed on site?
Thanks in advance.

Solid fuel. Think disposable barbeques, hexi stoves

Got another question for those in the know. Will it be pretty straightforward to get a taxi from the site early doors on the Monday morning?

Should be, might be busy though! Here's what Bloodstock recommend for taxis:
Taxi infoAnd the taxi drop-off/pickup can be found on the
site map, on the top right-hand side.

Aye, good to see more of us on the forum.
There was about 10 of us who got the Big Green Coach from Dundee last year (sadly they're not putting that bus on again this year). Probably a few others who drive/get the train.

How are you getting down yourself?
There are four of us just flying from Glasgow. I couldn't face the drive back up the road on the Monday morning!

Still getting the BGC, just from Edinburgh instead. Getting the 2am Ember bus to Edinburgh, which drops you off right where the BGC picks up from.

More questions,
does the campsite supermarket sell ice, mixers, crates of tins?

I'm not sure about ice or mixers but there will be crates of tins. If you're looking for an amount of tins that's more manageable for an individual rather than a group, I'm not sure.

The shop in Midgard should be selling ice and mixers
