Do I need to take cash?
Do I need to take cash?
I haven't been for a few years. Do I need to take cash or do the food vendors use touch pay now?
I see the bad moon arising.
Re: Do I need to take cash?
Most places take card now, there was a big push last year (i.e. the first Bloodstock in the pandemic) to make it possible to forego cash, although last year the wifi they were using for the card machine payments was not fit for purpose and it ended up taking ~5m at some times for a card payment to go through (might have been quicker for contactless, I refuse to have that shit in my cards). I'd take some cash as a backup, but you'll probably be fine with card payments 90% of the time.
Oh and welcome back. Hope to see you at the forum meet (if one goes ahead).

Re: Do I need to take cash?
I use cash exclusively at the festival. Card options are widespread if you don't want to, though. I fear they'll probably try and move to being cashless in the next few years. It's a dumb move, but other festivals are doing it, and I'm sure Bloodstock will try and follow suit.

I still use cash at festivals, much easier to keep track of spending when you spend 4 days in a an alcohol infused haze.
