I look forward to next year but am a little worried about announcements

I mean it`s being touted as twenty years and you really hope its a holy freakin F`k announcement but feel more worried its going to be something hugely disappointing, a couple of metalcore bands who no-one wants and someone who were barely famous in the 1990`s-I know you cannot please everyone but...

Shhhh, you'll give away the strategy !

You're missing the second part, too - "...those we can please, we'll please by relentlessly hyping those two metalcore bands that no-one really wanted, to the detriment of the rest of the lineup"

Am basing this on all his recent twitter posts have been liked by bloodstock organisers

That would be fantastic. I imagine they'd hold off on that until after the tour in December though.

Could be a ticket sale target, once x amount has been sold to his shows he'll allow an announcement. Don't think it's likely but it's possible.

DL20 announced Kiss/Maiden/System of a Down headlining plus Deftones, Korn, Offpsring, Gojira, Disturbed, Alestorm and some emo bands. They are even less adventurous than Bloodstock, haha.

Best part of that announcement is that it leaves Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest and Volbeat as possibilities for BOA.

I'll be beyond disappointed if they don't pick up Mercyful Fate for next year man.

Thought Volbeat were boring as fuck when i saw them at Hellfest one year, but if getting them is the price to pay for getting priest and Fate i'd pay it

Same here, although I'm trying not to hold out much hope.

I like Volbeat and considering some of the woeful alternatives think I'll stick in case we end up with something worse

Download still have a gap for another special guest, wouldn't surprise me if Priest are under Kiss again.

I've also heard people mention Mercyful Fate being on Downloads Dogtooth stage, which had Carcass and At The Gates headline last year.

Fingers crossed they play BOA though.

I've pretty much taken it as a given that I'll be at DL as well as BOA so if Priest and Fate do get announced for DL I'll be a bit gutted but at least I'll get to see them. Fingers crossed BOA at least get Fate though.

Maybe they'll be announced on the 30th as special guests to Volbeat? I hope anyway, headline would be better though.

Well they were supposed to announce a headliner at the fest, so maybe the reason it got delayed then is the same reason holding it back until now

I had a feeling Machine Head might be one but their Birmingham/London shows seem to put paid for that ..

Devin is talking about festivals as the 2nd part of the Empath tour, with heavier/SYL material

Priest I have a strong feeling about ! If not then KK/Ripper/Ellefson/Ross/Binks could be elsewhere on the bill.

Bob Zombie ? Caveleras ?
