With them booked, it would explain why we've got as small an undercard as we did in 2018. I can't see Devin and Behemoth costing as much as Gojira and Nightwish did. Only reasons I can think of why we have as small an undercard as we did in 2018 is that JP have jacked up their fee for their 50 year tour and the value of the Pound has fallen.

I'd say its likely they are still trying to recover from spending all that money on them the first time around, as well as spending loads of money last year on Scorpions and it not selling particularly well. I wish they'd learn their lesson and actually spend within their means, but apparently not.

I think the Mercyful Fate train has completely passed. I'm sure I heard somewhere that they tried but it just didn't work out. Its just yet another major metal band Bloodstock miss out on.

MF will only be booked if they can get a 90 minute Special Guest spot like Avantasia in 2013, King Diamond won't play anywhere that he can't perform the whole show, he doesn't cut his setlist for anything.

Also they're bringing a KD style stage show this time around so would need extra time to set up.

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

The following announced for Wacken today: Attic, Avatarium, Bokassa, Devin Townsend, Fields Of The Nephilim, Grave Digger - 40th Anniversary Show, Michael Monroe, Nytt Land, Suicidal Angels, The Other, Unleash The Archers, Visions Of Atlantis, Wormrot.

Unleash The Archers are in Europe on Bloodstock weekend with a couple of days spare. Their presence would probably be enough to tilt me towards buying a ticket.

Nytt Land and Unleash the Archers would push me closer to getting a ticket. Not quite all the way just yet, but closer.

Unleash the Archers and Bokassa from that group would be nice.

- Kataklysm/Whitechapel/Fleshgod Apocalypse/Dyscarnate
- Last in Line
- Municipal Waste/Toxic Holocaust/Enforcer/Skeletal Remains (yes please!)
- Uriah Heep/Skid Row/The Quireboys

Oh god please no. Still rank the first time they played as the worst live band I have ever seen. It was woeful.

Actually wouldn't really want any of those bands. I don't mind Fleshgod, Municipal Waste or Last in Line, but none of them would go any way to selling me a ticket. I'm expecting the next announcement to include Saxon and Jamey Jasta in whatever form he's performing in these days.

I'm no fan of Whitechapel, but no band can touch the stench of awfulness achieved by King 810.

Let's hope she's in the gym that day & misses that lot.

A quadruple booking of Voivod, Last in Line, Uriah Heep and Municipal Waste would help sell me a ticket. No interest in much else there though.

I would say that's a close second on my list, but beat Whitechapel by being such a car crash it was at least entertaining.

One band that has been discussed before is Bodycount, who Vivky has confirmed won't be playing.

Cant see Last In Line playing as Leppard are doing a big stadium tour with Motley Crue - presume it will be all summer

Saxon are playing as special guest to Judas Priest at a show in Austria towards the end of July - could do the same at Bloodstock?
