Re: Next Announcement
I'd rather have all the bands on the second list than have Europe tbh

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Re: Next Announcement
Volbeat, Five Finger Death Punch and Whitesnake are my guess for headliners. I wouldn't expect it to be that popular with folks round here mind.

So long as you get them and not the rest of us and I'll be happy with that arrangement

What makes you think Whitesnake?
Personally be 50/50, good band but Coverdale's voice is shot; luckily Ramblin Man will be on next year and will probably take them

Whitesnake? Because they're a classic band of the right size, who have conspicuously failed to announce uk dates so far. However, your right ramblin might have them.

Re: Next Announcement
Whitesnake were pretty good at Download this year.
I would reckon at least one of Amon Amarth, Mercyful Fate, Helloween, and Priest for headliners.

Of those 4 I'd prefer Helloween. Really like AA and Priest but both have played recently and although I like MF's music I get turned off as soon as King Diamond starts singing, just cannot stand his voice (I know that is heresy

When he played Bloodstock last tine I thought he’d been replaced by Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo

What makes you think Judas Priest would play at Bloodstock twice in three years?
Re: Next Announcement
My guesses :
Headliners : Judas Priest as they've got an anniversary too and are doing Wacken, Devin Townsend on second leg of Empath and Machine Head as half of them are there already
Elsewhere : Amon Amarth as special guests, Cellar Darling as they're ace, Blaze Bayley perhaps headlining Sophie with his Maiden set one night .. Steve Harris' British Lion so then he can do a guest spot with Blaze, Dimmu Borgir to make up for last year, The Wildhearts, Therapy?, Atarka, The Mighty Wraith, Tragedy as they've not been for few years, Dir En Grey or Aldious to represent Japan .. maybe the Cavalera Brothers and Amaranthe.

Admittedly very unlikely, but they’re touring in 2020, it’s their 50th anniversary, it’s Bloodstocks anniversary, they went down very well last time, they were originally a local (‘ish) band, and I seem to remember reading somewhere they loved playing it in 2018. Who knows?
I’m going no matter who it ends up being though, as in recent years I’ve enjoyed the bands lower down the bill and in the Sophie just as much as the headliners.
