Priest have postponed all European dates except for Bloodstock due to "ongoing COVID-19 vaccine issues in Europe". With the estimates of available vaccines here being reduced let's hope we're still in a good enough place come the summer.

I'm taking it as a good thing for Bloodstock!

Not really a rumour but Brutal Assault and Obscene Extreme have just postponed to 2022, and Metaldays are making a call by the end of this month but dont sound hopeful so we could be seeing the collapse of the late summer touring circuit.

If that happens I expect that Bloodstock will still go ahead but with the vast majority of international bands dropping off the lineup

I'm preparing for more changes. I'm getting increasingly pessimistic about the prospects of Devin Townsend, Unleash The Archers and Bloodywood being allowed to travel to the UK given the current state of Covid in their countries. Bullet For My Valentine to be announced as replacement friday headliner....................

Can't argue with that. Hopefully valentine isn't announced although I can visit motley brew in such cases

That would explain why bands like Therapy? and The Wildhearts are now being added not that I'm complaining, as they're both great bands, especially Therapy? who have been long overdue a slot.

If we end up fully UK, what're people's expectation of headliners? I wouldn't be surprised with one of BMTH/BFMV/Architects/Enter Shikari. Could Alestorm step up? The crowd they had last time was massive. Carcass maybe? Personally I'd be quite happy with Saxon being moved up to headliner.

Bruce Dickinson solo headline. (I wish lol) :)

At this stage, I'd just be happy for it to go ahead and I know the team are doing everything within their power.

Bloodywood replaced by Napalm Death.

Venom Prison, Borstal, King Creature, Primitai, Terra IV and Internal Conflict also announced.

Looks like there's a few Sophie spots left to announce - 1 on Wednesday (replacing Nerkogoblikon) and 1 on Thursday (headliner, unless Hacktivist are headlining in which case its a band lower than that) and 2 on Sunday.

Then its just all of the New Blood and Jager stages to go.

With you 100%. I don't care who gets announced at this stage. I, like everybody else in these parts, just need it to happen.

The Canadian bands are safe for now.

Napalm death is a good shout. Shame about bloodywood but no surprise there.

Venom prison are a popular choice
