I think this is a bit too hot for a festival. Above 30C in Reading for the next few days. Maybe not quite as high around Burton but it's a bit too much for me.

Download weekend didn't disappoint this year though. Plenty of rain as usual I think.

Who is headlining or sub-headlining the other euro festivals next year? probably a good place to start looking. Seems like Mercyful Fate or Amon Amarth are the favourites.

Bloodstock interviewed Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) for the Metal Alliance Festival. Considering Lacuna Coil aren't playing the festival, and they haven't played Bloodstock since 2014, it seems like an odd choice. I wouldn't expect LC to be headliners again, but I think there's a good chance they'll be announced for next year.

God, I hope its not Down. Aside from Anselmo being a racist, there music is just a bit boring, and definitely doesn't lend itself to headlining a festival. Considering he's already there though, that's probably exactly who it is.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!

Thank fuck for that. Plus, I don't think headlining a realtively small festival like Bloodstock is worthy of advance hype for a band making an announcement on US time, given that most of their US fans won't even know what Bloodstock is.

Dino Cazares has responded to a tweet from Vicky saying: "I'm Down to hear who it's going to be" - but then someone responded to that saying it's someone who has never headlined before so who knows.

EDIT: he responded to someone else saying he's guessing, but he does joke around a lot on twitter so don't know how serious he's being.

Well at least we'd get two chances to bottle Phil Anselmo

Usual laughable requests on Facebook. A few people have already said, without any hint of sarcasm, that they hope it's Maiden, Ozzy or Rammstein

Whether it's Down or not, I'm glad we're only going on a Sunday day ticket next year (it would take a spectacular Saturday headliner to save this steaming turd of a Fri/Sat lineup) coz you just know there would a few cunts around when Anselmo's on stage who would throw nazi salutes because they think it's funny, and I really cba with that shit

I just hope the organizers make sure there's no white wine backstage on Friday next year.

Hahaha, they should invite a Fear Factory cover band called Beer Factory... except Dino plays guitar, Burton sings and a couple others do the other bits. And Rhys Fulber simultaneously does a set on the same stage under the name "Synth Factory" that just happens to sync up with what Beer Factory are doing by pure happenstance. And to avoid copyright problems, they just replace the last note of every song with one a semitone higher.
