Re: Next Announcement
That's a sizable increase in capacity added this year then.

I don't think the capacity has changed. Of the people that had bought 2020 ticket, 92% of them rolled over to 2021 (8% got refunds).
Including rolled over tickets, they have sold 78% of their cap for 2021. To me, that means that they had sold 70-odd % of 2020 by the time they offered the rollover.
Either way, its looking healthy attendance wise.
Re: Next Announcement
Oh of course my bad, I was reading it as 92% of 2020 capacity rolled over, not 92% of sold tickets rolled over. They could have only sold 1000 at that point. But yeah 78% sold for next year's fest at this stage sounds good to me.

Re: Next Announcement
I would expect that 78% figure to be whatever their capacity for weekend tickets is, rather than the whole capacity as a certain percentage of the whole capacity will be allocated to day-tickets.
Re: Next Announcement
Really liked the YouTube debate Vicky did, she came across very well and bless her answered things like the Manowar question straight off the bat
Actually thought at the time when everyone was saying " Why havent they cancelled yet", how much work this is and to try and re-book for 2021
There was somewhat biased tendencies towards Parkway Drive and Hatebreed, think the reasons why there are raised eyebrows and groans have been well covered on this forum
And yes like them or not Mercyful Fate dos feel like something very very special, well done!

Aye watched the video last night and thought it was really good. And whilst we've all given Vicky some stick for a few band selections over the years I've certainly never seen some of the things she's described as receiving on here. I'm gonna continue to live in blind hope of Manowar playing eventually even though I know it's never gonna happen.
Re: Next Announcement
Might have missed this but is the extra day going to have any bands and if so does anyone know when these might be announced? Everything is still about it being a 3 day event on the website.

Full day of bands on everything except the mainstage.

Re: Next Announcement
Yeah, basically the Wednesday has a handful of bands on the Sophie stage, as per the usual opening night. On the Thursday, we get a full extra day of bands on the Sophie, New Blood and Jagermeister stages

Re: Next Announcement
I wonder if New Blood/Jager will still be predominantly M2TM bands or they'll take more bands from submissions and the like. Plenty of time for them to work things like that out.

Re: Next Announcement
Day tickets on sale 1st September
Re: Next Announcement
I keep hearing a rumour hatebreed is to be added, anyone else hearing this?
Re: Next Announcement
What we know is that a band that was announced for this year but not carried over is to be announced again for next year, which points to Hatebreed although I'd be much happier with Idle Hands.

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.
Re: Next Announcement
Really hoping for Bossk but knowing the organizers it probably is Hatebreed.

Re: Next Announcement
Earlier in this thread someone said they asked on Facebook and it was confirmed Idle Hands would be playing next year - presumably asking Idle Hands directly rather than Bloodstock. That was months ago, just after the cancellation statement, but hopefully this remains true/they are the band who have since been teased.
