To those saying about the cold, there's also the possibility of spending more on the tent itself. I forget what model mine is, but its got a special material in its lining that helps regular temperature. It wasn't too hot at Hellfest (high 30s outside, late 10s in my tent) and wasn't too cold at recent BOAs (where otherwise I heard people were freezing themselves stupid).

Don't get me wrong, it still required some appropriate cold weather clothing (particularly if you're wanting to socialise in the evening after the last acts) but with the right tent you can just stick to some joggers and a top and be fine.

Also for dealing with cold, I got a silk sleeping bag liner a few years ago which works wonders for keeping the heat in. Packs up really small and hardly weighs anything at all, so I take it with me whenever I go camping these days.
