The grievance hearing meeting I had today went really well. The area manager seemed to sympathise with me and the evidence I had of my kitchen manager's treatment of me seemed to be sufficient enough for him to take action. Seems we've been lied to quite a bit from the management team at our pub, so hopefully this will shake things up nicely and straighten it out!
Also, nobody at the pub can penalise me for taking this higher, as apparently, if they do, "the repercussions that will fall upon them for doing so will be much greater than anything they could do" to me!
