Re: What has made you happy today
My sister seems set to abandon vegetarianism. Apparently my grandparents were convinced I was going down to see them last weekend even though I told them nothing of the sort, and they had bought a turkey. Feeling bad my sister decided to have a bit of it. Since then she's had a ham sandwich, a couple of chicken goujons and I saw her eat a sausage supper yesterday. This is very good news as far as i'm concerned as she was far too fussy to be a proper vegetarian and really wasn't getting a balanced diet, which had big effects on her mood. Now that we can eat the same things again food will probably be a big thing we can bond over, as well as the fact she now works in a pub which gives us lots to talk about. My sis and I have had a very strained relationship since we were kids but now something as simple as this is making it easier for us to be closer than before.

Mate of mine who goes to Finnish lessons with his wife asked me if I wanted to get involved in the live folk band for some party that's being organised for November. Nowt to lose, like...

I only knew about that gig at 9pm last night. Would've gone otherwise.

It's an okapi, closest living relative to the giraffe - trust me, I work in a zoo!
I've had a nice, chilled out couple of days off from work. Much less stressed out going back in this morning than I was when I left on Thursday night.
