Not sure that's what they were going for seeing as it was made in '93.

Actually, I like Part 3, probably more than most tbh. Terry Farrell's easy on the eye, the blonde bimbo who gets humped and dumped was also decent eye candy, the nightclub scene was great, and Armored Saint were in it.

I like the Friday the 13th films! Jason X is wank, but laughably wank. Not too sure on the remake, though.

I haven't seen Hellraiser III since going to the cinema for it! Remember really enjoying it at the time, no idea how well it's dated. I seem to recall the 4th being OKish and the rest utter horse wank.

Friday the 13th is dull as dishwater throughout. I hate slasher flicks with invincible killers, they bore me to tears.

Jason X is ace, mainly because Oenomaus from Spartacus was in it.

Oh, and Hellraisers 5 - 8 were all originally scripts for entirely different films which were later adapted to shoehorn the cenobites in.

I agree the Jason films are a little boring but I did like Jason X and the Freddy vs Jason movie. The remake was a little meh, it didn't try anything new except copy the horror format exactly. A bit of tit, some blood, more tits and then Jason 'dies'. Rinse then repeat. The only reason I watched it was because it had the guy from Supernatural in it.

I thought Hellraiser 5 was ok, it had a great idea to it but wasn't anything special.

Holy fuck I'm actually crying.

Super was the most intense hour and a half of movie I've seen in a long fucking while.

It's just... It's amazing and terrible and beautiful and horrifying and you think you know but you don't and dear fucking god.

Watch it.

Now.

I'm watching Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban.. can't help but wonder with these films why Harry doesn't just phone up social services about his Aunt and Uncle. They border child abuse, surely?
Also the Knight Bus scene is the stuff of nightmares..

I watched it earlier, it was deffinately interesting. A little fucked up but had a good idea. I can't agree with all the people saying its better than kick ass. It just felt a little flat and just wanted to be violent for no reason, which isnt a bad thing it just needed to be directed.

Comparisons were always going to be drawn, but they're completely different films. Kick Ass was meant as comic book styled fun, while I think Super has more in common with Falling Down. Both great films, but Kick Ass definitely wins if it was a choice between them!
