Also, apparently the authorities have got a deaf lip reader to analyse tapes of the incident to see what was said, apparently Materazzi said;
"Hold on, wait, that one's not for a nigger like you." then "We all know you are the son of a terrorist whore." Then, just before the headbutt, he was seen saying: "So just fuck off."

I heard a slighyly different version ........"thats not for you" followed by "son of a whore" then, " I hope your family die an ugly death" followed by " go fuck yourself!!. So far no one has found footage of what ZZ said and he seemd to say just as much.. Not trying to defend Materazzi but there were clearly 2 sides to the exchange.
The "son of whore" expression is very common. Italians use it much like son of a bitch is used by yanks..
ZZ was probably provoked but its still no excuse.

What did ZZ say to Materazzi first? Do you know? If not then your judgement is based on half the alleged facts. Despite being partly Italian (and not a greasy one!
) and biased towards the Italian side, I would say that if that Materazzi's comments were unprovoked than he desreves what happened and deserves to be punished but there are a lot of "ifs" in this story.-

i totally agree with you bill. from what iv seen from what happened it looks like many little incidents that took place between them but tbh i dont think we shall ever no the full story.
