I've never really had a fashion sense and if I have it's pretty awful one at that, but I've been looking at photos of myself recently and cringing a bit. I think I've got past the age of dressing young, if that makes sense?

I think it might be time to throw away the multicoloured leggings, hotpants and miniskirts and start wearing more sensible and flattering stuff? Or I don't know, I know I can't get away with it forever, and it's all very well 'wearing what you want' But I don't want to wear stuff I look plain stupid in.

I really really don't think you look stupid, I think you look damn amazing all the time. In the end if you're feeling uncomfortable then maybe mix it up a bit, but I think you always look fantastic!

I'm with Ania, you're still young and have ages to wear stuff like that! Plus you seem confident and you have a good figure so you can pull it off. I wish I was able to wear the kind of stuff you wear, haha.

Plus I swear most of the people who do follow fashion end up looking completely retarded anyway, as well as unoriginal.

There will be people who argue that dressing for your age and figure will always look better on anyone, but ultimately, wear what you what. If you want to dress one way or another, then do so, but don't wear something because you feel you 'should', when you'd rather wear something else.

Short and sweet: If *you* feel you look stupid, stop wearing them and find something you feel better in.

Ladies who suffer from UTIs a lot - do you find pink residue around the fixtures of your bathroom? We've had it in our bathroom for about a year, and I thought it was iron in the water (oxidised iron turns red, innit), but it turns out it's a kind of bacteria that contributes to loads of yummy diseases like UTIs.

So I was wondering if there was a correlation. Think it's time to move house..

Nope, I don't think I've ever seen it I'm most likely not a good yardstick though given I'm waiting for Urology to hit my infection with a stick (well, hopefully not literally ) so probably not a standard UTI.

However a friend whose prone moans about that residue quite a bit. Perhaps there is a correlation?

Christ, I just epilated the bottom half of my legs. Fucking canes at first, but you ladies are right, it stops hurting so much after a while!

Weeeirdly... My old housemate and his girlfriend came to stay. She said she'd just had a UTI and he was pissing like a racehorse so we suspected he had caught it from her and had it now as well.
About 5 days later, I get it too. But I have NO idea how?

According to NHS Choices they aren't contagious - it can be caused by having sex due to irritation but it can't be "caught" from another infected individual.

If he has it he should go see his GP straight away - I was always told if men get them it needs immediate investigation for an underlying cause.

You won't have caught it from either of them either - slim chance you've all used a toilet seat with the bacteria on it I suppose, but beyond that it's likely to be coincidence.

Oh, I was under the impression you could catch them! I thought the bacteria can transfer from one person to another through unprotected sex? Either way, I didn't have sex with my housemate so that rules that out anyway Must have just been a coincidence!
