Not having sex is a great way of not needing condoms as well.

It's a way but it's definitely not a great way.
Condoms aren't that expensive anyway, plus you can buy them in bulk online!

I try re-using plastic bags but they are all biodegradable now so after a few weeks in the drawer they just fall to bits

We've reached a kind of equilibrium of carrier bag usage, after I let hundreds build up in the drawer, jamming it, and throwing most of them out, using a 'bag for life' for shopping for a few weeks... we're back to using 3 or 4 carrier bags a week for rubbish, and replacing them all when we do our weekly shop.
Needless post is needless!

Ugh, totally. My room at my dad's house became a dumping ground for everyone else's stuff since I moved to uni and my sister had a plastic bag full of old clothes in there, which, after three years, had disintegrated into a huge mess of confetti which I had to clear up.

Carrier bag solution?
Take a backpack instead! Easier to carry all your shit home too! and if you buy too much for a backpack, put all the heavy shit in there and stuff all the other crap into 2 bags. Sorted!

This and take your own canvas bags and you never have to use a plastic supermarket bag ever again! /obsessive recycler

Nah, plastic crates innit. Then you give them back next time they deliver.
