Re: What's freaking you out?
I have no motivation to finish my research for an essay which is due in exactly a weeks time. Although tbf I have already read a load of books for it and pretty much every book about Philip of Macedon says the same thing as they are all based on the sole surviving narrative and I just need to read more to bump the number of references I have up.

Re: What's freaking you out?
A simple request from my line manager and she can get my work internet logs. I'm not on all day tbf but I do check here and another forum every now and then.
Why did I ask her, loudly, not to check mine because I'm forever on the internet? Reverse psychology?
Ah well.... she said she will only ever do it if I'm not pulling my weight and she's admitted that she's no issues with my productivity at the moment.

I think most of the time they are more worried about people looking at dodgy websites or deciding to do all their shopping online.
Aye. I'm not stupid enough to either look at porn or gamble.
She can't complain about doing their shopping given she's done some of hers online at work.
But yeah, not too worried. She's tempted to ask about another colleague but I back up browsing the internet with er actual work.

It's because you've passed the rubicon, no turning back. Not a feeling I miss...

Re: What's freaking you out?
Ok, so as a few of you know I fell for a girl a while back and then shit went down and so on and so forth.
After I got down to uni, a few months after all that business, she got in touch and we started talking again and she said she wanted to make a go of it, long story short, when I went back to visit she decided she couldn't cope with the distance.
WFMO:
Aforementioned girl has invited me to her birthday do in Manchester in January, despite the fact I haven't talked to her since break-up No. II and then she spent the whole invitation page on facebook flirting with her new fella only to pop up on chat reminding me that I promised I'd be at her birthday do. I promised whilst we were together (due to distance etc).
I don't want to go back on my promise, but I also don't want to be in Manchester with a her lot when she'll be the only one I know properly (and only one other I've spoken to in passing) whilst her and her new boyfriend are all each other due to the occasion. She also had an odd request "No tears" to me specifically. I'm a tad concerned if I'm honest

My blunt advice: Don't be a doormat.
If it sounds good, listen to it

Re: What's freaking you out?
Agreed. However that could be taken two ways! Either don't go (the sensible option) or turn up pissed, cause a scene and start a fight (the fun option). Either way you don't know anyone so it isn't like you have anything to lose by either option.

'No tears'? How patronising! She sounds like a bitch and it sounds like an awkward situation don't go. Wait til things settle

Do NOT go, would be my advice

Yeah, don't bother. She sounds like a bitch who just wants people to come to her party so she can feel special. It sounds to me like she doesn't value you as a person at all.

If this is the same girl that treated you like absolute bollox, the one you told us about ages ago, I'd be questioning why you're even talking to her in the first place.
And that situation there just confirms that she should go fuck herself.

Re: What's freaking you out?
I wouldn't go. Go out, in the same place with a bunch of hot women she doesn't know and have a ball. Make sure she sees you. Then blank her.

Re: What's freaking you out?
You should kill the boyfriend and wear his skin as a suit while you fuck her with a razor blade and used needle condom.
Or just don't go.
One of the two.
