Yeah, if anything he was what made me at least give it a try.

I just found Total Recall really forgettable. Couldn't really remember much of the big plot points, or too many of the scenes.

Whilst I was watching it, it was decent enough as an action movie, but yeah. Really nothing special. An example of the lack of charm big budget action movies have these days.

They always claimed it was not a remake, but a re-imagining of the source material. After seeing the new one, it is clear this was mostly bollocks, as there were a lot of stuff lifted out of the original film. The short story it was based on is only about 20 pages long though, and very little happens in it. Key point though is that nobody goes to Mars, which they have kept in the new movie. It's too short of a story to make into a feature length film directly, hence all the extras added in the first movie, and stolen for the new one.

I hate shit like that, "I know guys lets use the same universe, but change loads of stuff so it's our own, but its still got the same cool name to attract the fans"

Oh, the irony.

I haven't seen it yet, having read many bad reviews, and I fondly remember the original. Get your ass to Mars, and all that.

To be fair, neither is the writers original story, Total Recall used the plot of the story, the rest is pure Voerhoven

The fact it has Colin Farrel in it means I will never watch it

Does this mean you've never seen In Bruges? One of the best films of the last decade or so.

1. Avengers
2. Dark Knight Rises
3. Argo
4. The Perks of Being A Wallflower
5. Cabin In the Woods
6. Chronicle
7. The Hunt
8. A Royal Affair
9. Looper
10.

Well, there's 3 there I haven't seen ( Argo, The Hunt and A Royal Affair ) so some more suggestions for me. I'd recommend The Angels' Share or...if you like Perks, possibly Ruby Sparks.

I can't believe I missed Argo, this film looks right up my street, and the last 2 films Affleck has directed have been awesome

It's like when I asked people if they'd seen Saw. I saw Saw and told people they had to see Saw too. They said they'd seen Saw but hadn't seen Saw 2.

And so on and so forth...

I thought this was damn good, Danny Dyer isn't as horrendous as he usually is, but does bring it down a tad, however, it does have agood cast, Sean Bean once again is very good, not an amazing film, but still, I would watch it again 7/10

It does look like the Z-List version of Expendables...
