My mum is still obsessed with Jason. She always talks about how stunningly good looking he is and how smart and lovely he is. The first time she asked stuff about Jamie, her response to what I was saying was "well I bet he's not as good as Jason".

My mum did the same thing for years - "Oh, David was such a nice boy" as if it's my fault. He broke up with me! Now he's grown up, she keeps saying how amazing he looks now. Yeah, I'm sure his girlfriend agrees!

What is it with mums?!
My mum openly talks about how she fancies my ex and still flirts with him on facebook and stuff Luckily it's not awkward and she doesn't compare him to my current!

I think I got on with my first gf's parents. Her mum was absolutely lovely. Her dad was a decent bloke but I was very nervous of him. He only asked in jest but reduced me to a stammering wreck when he asked why I was with a 19-year-old at 24.

This is the feedback for my life. I recently got described as "the turtle" by one of my best mates because I'm apparently always quietly hiding in a shell (as opposed to be a badass ninja named after a classical artist).

I usually get along with parents, and mine have only had a dislike for one of my exes (based on the way she broke up with me, not how she was in the relationship). I'm generally a polite person around people I don't know/know I need to stay on the good side of, anyway. Very rarely do girlfriends' parents see the same person my friends do
