Let me know when you find one.

Considering that 'open sourced' software makes up a decent proportion of MacOS X's subsystem, the developer tools available for it are all absolutely wank in comparison to Visual Studio.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

I've been told that Text Wrangler is the best one. It's not too bad. I'd rather the FTP client be accessible from a panel on the main screen rather than a seperate window, and I can't see anyway to turn on bracket matching, but the syntax highlighting works fine and I can see all the files I have open easily...I think Notepad++ would have a big market on Mac though, so i wish they'd sort it out!

Just found a job that is basically exactly what I've been looking for.
The catch? It's £150/week, as opposed to my current £180+/week.
However, if I got it, it could lead to a very respectable career in a field I've wanted to get into for a while now. But I'd have to juggle it with my current job.
Thoughts?

As far as I'm aware, you're not paying for your current living arrangement, correct? Taking a small cut back in your income as long as your food and shelter are covered is insignificant if the new job will mean as much to you as you say it will. Go for it!

Moved out in August, now paying £250/month on rent alone.
Actually, I should really work out all of my expenses. That's surely the best way to decide on what to do.. in the meantime, I suppose it can't hurt to apply.

My mistake, I was going by the wrong monthly pay
If I took that job and it was my sole source of income, I'd be on -£50 a month.
After expenses, I actually make a minimum of £230. Not great, but I can at least eat

So yeah, if I doubled up this job with my current one (restricting my working hours at the pub to 10/week, though I could probably do more), I'd have £175/month for food, etc.
Also, my expenses are stuff like car insurance, council tax, water, internet/tv, mobile phone.. There's room to shave off a few quid here and there, so I'll be looking to do that soon. One will most likely be cancelling LoveFilm in favour of NetFlix.

After a chat with my parents, I've decided not to go for it.
I'd have to double it up with working at the pub, which would tire me out no end. Plus I didn't take travel expenses (petrol, car maintenance, etc) into consideration. Even doubling the jobs up, I'd be making fuck-all money.
If the job was in Peterborough or Whittlesey (where there are also branches), it'd be ideal, but Huntingdon is a 30-45min (depending on traffic) drive, as opposed to Peterborough's 15-20 minutes, and Whittlesey's 0 as I live there.

Arse.

Also I think having a second job bumps up your car insurance.

Anything outside of that can be tricky to improvise over without knowing exactly what you're doing, and a lot of the time it'll just end up sounding 'wrong' and you fall back to Emin/Gmaj, or you 'force' the song into that key (which might end up having some accidentals because you haven't transposed the scale properly) and it ends up sounding like shite prog.

I don't know if you'd call this prog (I really don't know what the definition of prog is [also i tend to call it technical thrash/death personally]) but it isn't too dissonant and it's a very good example not having to use a scale at all. Just two notes (can you guess which ones?)
