Yeah I need my most frequent use of ellipsis and exclamation marks awards

Interesting....I actally knew what this was without looking this up ....An unusual purchase I must say!
I found a great war memorabilia shop in Budapest right next to the apartments we were staying in. It had loads of genuine German and Soviet stuff from the Second World War and after. I could of spent a fortune in there, but I didn't know whether customs would of let me bring things back. You can't exactly take a machine gun on as hand luggage.
You've obviously never encountered terminal 5 security then...
Re: A free-for-all thread
Terminal 5 is fucking amazing. I love that place. Nothing compared to Vancouver Intl. though.
Slightly unrelated, but this is the free-for-all thread, so fuck it.

T5 is a lovely place. It's security does leave a little be desired, however.

Best airport terminal in the world is the at Macarren International Airport in Las Vegas. About 700m wide and 40m deep. We got from the taxi dropoff to our gate in approximately 12 minutes, only had to wait 3 mins at TSA.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

Also, check-in was a popup desk at the taxi rank, outside the doors. Such a clever idea. All airports should have them.

They had some really comfy chairs the time I went as well.

Bangkok airport was mental when I went. Literally the size of a large town. We found 3 Starbucks and we only explored a third of duty free.

I can't remember a thing about Bangkok airport, I was 18 and on my own. All that I can remember is that it was damn hot and it stank

I don't suppose any of you want to vote for my friend to help him go to space?

Re: A free-for-all thread
LAX airport always struck me as odd due to the part where you queue to get your passport stamped on the way into the country looks exactly (well to me at least) like a cross between a middle eastern shopping centre, and a 1980's british public toilet.
Macarren on the other hand has a giant concrete lizard, and dune buggies dotted around the baggage claim area.

Oh god I hate that bit. Last time I was there I had to wait for about two hours because my friend got pulled over by border control for some reason they wouldn't tell her. It was fucking horrible, especially after a 12 hour flight.
