Does anyone here watch The League?
It's basically It's Always Sunny but without so much gross-out humour and instead of owning a bar, the guys run a fantasy American Football league.
The American Football moments don't even take from it, I don't follow any kind of sport at all and still love the show.

I liked that as well.
I tried to watch Parks And Recreation on BBC4, but gave up after the fourth episode. It just didn't do anything for me.
I seem to recall from previous posts on here that it doesn't really get going until the second series.

I quite liked the first season, and I'm only a couple episodes into the second, and already it's much better.
That said, it's suffering the same fate that The Office does with me. I know it's good and I have it there, ready to watch, but I just don't think to put it on.
Then when I do, I watch a bunch of it and think "holy shit why did I stop watching this?", then get bummed out when I run out of episodes. So maybe I subconsciously don't watch it because I know I like to marathon it..?

Also guys, seriously, The League.
And Franklin & Bash.
Surely I can't be the only fan of those on here..?

Re: TV: Current and Recent
I've all but given up on comedy at the moment.
British comedy is in the worst state its ever been in, and of the only US comedies I watch, Cougar Town is on cruise control with Community stumbling drunkenly along behind. Only Modern Family is guaranteed quality at the moment.
I suppose I'd better give Parks and Rec another go.
And on top of that, Mike and Molly got renewed.
See? It's funny because they're fat.
God help us.

Modern Family is awesome.
Re: TV: Current and Recent
The Following has been renewed which im curious about. im enjoying the first season, but unless they do something gob smackingly amazing, they are gonna really struggle with the same 'serial killer escapes, Bacon chases one of his minions, more minions appear, some minions die, more minions appear, serial killer smiles, gloomy Bacon face, end episode'.
i was expecting it to be more serial killer of the season type stuff, one killer per season, but even that would be stretching it. oh well lets see what happens.

This.
Whenever I'm stuck for something to watch and want something easy and nice, Modern Family is great. Also there's no laughter track to get on my tits.

Too many people get the idea (probably from the title) that it's just another Everybody Loves Raymond or King of Queens type deal.
It's everything that I expected from the writers of Frasier.
Just watched episode 2 of the second series of Parks and Rec.
I smiled once.
I'll waste another twenty minutes watching the next one and decide what to do with it from there.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
New Community was meh. I find it really frustrating to see how Dan Harmon put Troy and Britta together, and since he left nobody has a fucking clue where to go with it. The rest of the episode was ok. I thought the Gym teaching class was funny but everything else was kind of bland/forced.
I'm not that happy with the new season, but it's certainly not bad.

Re: TV: Current and Recent
Decided to keep on with Parks and Rec and finally found a genuinely laugh out loud funny episode. Practice Date certainly isn't the funniest thing I've ever seen but it did have enough laughs in it to make me want to carry on watching - for a while longer at least.
Edit:
The next one's even better. Looks like we're finally off and running.
