The Hobbit.

Eh. It was alright. took me like 6 hours to watch because I kept pausing and doing something because it failed to keep my attention for too long at a time.

And eagles are the most op ass muthafuckas in middle earth.
Decent enough though. and dat thorin x bilbo brohug.

I'll probably watch the second one.

How quickly before someone overdubs the trailer so Radagast shouting "What if it's a trap" is replaced by Admiral Ackbar?

Watched A Good Day to Die Hard last night, Easily the weakest of the series but still enjoyable. Even if it does seriously stretch the boundaries of credibility (even more than usual, I mean) on more than one occasion.

I liked the car chase but that was about it. The father/son relationship made me cringe. It wasn't a totally bad film by any stretch, that franchise just has high expectations for me.
I see the bad moon arising.

It wasn't great, but yeah it was still watchable, just very lack lustre compared to the others :(

My expectations had been lowered by Part 4 to accept this one more.
If it had come straight off the back of any of the first 3, I would have been a lot less giving.

Surely Part 6 will have to feature McClane and brother and sister McClane up against the sons of Hans/Simon Gruber. That's surely the only way they can finish off the franchise with a real punch.

If they do another I may have to think twice about seeing it in the cinema to be honest :|

Die Hard 6 is the last one. Hopefully theyve learnt their lesson and won't dumb it down again. A 12a certificate would have put off the main people wanting to watch it. But I cant see them sticking to the original trilogys hard hitting edge unless they went out if their way to get the original team back.

Behind the times here but just watched Casino Royale. Never been the biggest of Bond fans, this is, as far as I can remember, the first one I've watched since Roger Moore was playing him. It was pretty decent although dragged a bit in places. I can't say it's made me desperate to watch the next 2 but I did enjoy it.

I thought Casino was dull, boring and slow. Skyfall is much better and a proper Bond film.

Yesterday and the day before:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (Cinema)
The Breakfast Club (Blu Ray)
An Officer and A Gentleman (Cinema)

Quite a fantastic 2 days of film. Seen the first two a good few times, but it was my first time with An Officer, and I really liked it a lot. Much less chick flick than I'd been lead to believe.

I preferred Casino's pace and intensity to Skyfall personally, although I agree Skyfall is a proper Bond film
