movies
Re: movies
I thought Looper had some nice ideas but ultimately was a very cold film and the end was just weird

Re: movies
^ It did a lot of things that American movies do that annoy me, like having characters constantly whispering. I think setting the majority of the film in a farmhouse in a field despite the film taking place in the future was pretty pointless, and made me desperately want a change of location. Bruce Willis was way underused, and deserved a longer total screen time, because his part felt too small.

This disappoints me. I haven't seen it, but I thought the premise was badass!

Then I hate Matrix for ripping off shitloads of old animes when they have the two super humans fight.

Lego The Movie
In the cinema, really are they that hard up for ideas

Re: movies
Not surprising.
The lego games (Star Wars, LoTR, Harry Potter, etetc) have become insanely popular over the past few years.
Seems like a natural progression tbh.

Yes. Hence SEQUELS AND ADAPTATIONS EVERYWHURRR.
I love Lego, Phil Lord/Chris Miller and the trailer, so all signs point to promising
Re: movies
Watched Django Unchained last night, probably in the minority but I wasn't overwhelmed by it, twas OK. I'm not a fan of Tarantino nor westerns so it was always going to be a hard sell for me I guess.
I thought the first third was OK, enough to hold my interest...I started to get really bored in the middle, then it perked up considerably (once they were in DeCaprio's house and bargaining for the slave I was quite involved in it) and then it turned into some sort of comic book shoot out...and then didn't end when it should of. I barely paid attention to the last half hour. Oh well, I'll continue to chalk Tarantino up as a film maker I just don't get.

It could work though. It's pretty retarded, but it just might pay off. The tiny clips I've seen are so ridiculous it's almost charming.

Morgan Freeman as God? That sounds familiar.

I was sure that he was confirmed as God but it seems he's actually playing Vitruvius. It's also got Will Ferrel, Liam Neeson and Alison Brie in it.

ALISON BRIE? Only her voice, though. More's the pity.
