Trivial Grumbling, studying for my Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist exam in SCCM 2012 is a little dull.

I've got quite a few MCTS exams that I should probably sit but can't be arsed. Our company hands out £500 pay rises for each one passed though...

I think it's because I'm putting some serious thought into contracting as a software packager/ SCCM administrator. It would be beneficial to have the extra certifications on ye olde CV

If you have experience and merit, the only people to really benefit from MCTS (and the higher tiers) are employers. Their Partner status relies on the certified folk.

True and helps your employer gain their gold status with Microsoft. However, because I'll be starting afresh with contracting it would help a potential client to see I've gone the extra mile to achieve it. Or something.

Starting fresh, yeah, it helps to show some personal desire to achieve and learn.

Once you get into it and get more merit and accreditations from your jobs, they kinda mean less. You'll seen be able to talk the talk and convince then of your knowledge in the interviews. Has worked for me.

Oh, also blog. And maintain a LinkedIn profile. Nothing shows off your knowledge more than maintaining a subject matter blog (see mine in my sig).

Struggling to get my Epiphone-BOA entry under 200 words. Ludicrously small word count.

Do you think they're counting? Is 211 words such a sin?

And yet again the laundry room is busy. Someone's queued up two loads, but I have a feeling they've left for work and won't be home for another few hours. Ffs, why can't we just have set laundry days?

Anything over 200 they won't read IMO.
Firstly cause they'll have a shit load to read and secondly cause it's probably a test to see if you can stick to a brief they've given you.

True. Trying to decide what to shift and re-word is just so hard.

Agreed.

They'll be looking for an intelligent, yet engaging & concise entry. I find, I actually enjoy the process of increasing or decreasing word counts for this sort of thing.

Just saw a man walking around twice my size, not sweating even a quarter as much.

My sweat glands are douchebags wtf.
