Homage to Catalonia, (especially when you ignore the two unnecessary chapters that were cut by the original editor), is undoubtedly his best.

Just finished "Lady of Hay" by Barbara Erskine. Not sure what next. I have most of the "Wheel of time" novels sat on the shelf downstairs, but I don't think I'm ready to start them yet!

ACDC - Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be by Mick Wall. As all of Wall's biogs, they are well researched but can get a bit personal with his comments, so certain things are failures because he doesn't like them etc (bit like the Axl Rose biog where he re-constructs AFD to make it a 'classic'). The main issue is the lack of access - The Youngs are a closed shop, so all quotes are sourced from mag articles and the only people who would be interviewed are people that have been thrown out of the circle, as such Angus and Malcolm come across as tyrants with attitude problems. Still, it s a good read, with the Bon Scott years covering 3/4 of its pages.

World War Z, good read. Think I'll be avoiding the film mind. PG-13? fuck that

Moving onto The Stand now, been awhile since I read it.

Currently slowly reading my way through the third (first half) book of A Song of Fire and Ice. Also got the new Richard Castle book Storm Front.

The International, again. Must be the 4th or 5th time now. Easily my favourite novel.

Picked up Atonement again. Should probably buy some more books.

Just finished Brandon Sanderson's Way of Kings.

I loved it, I also love how it, Mistborn, Elantris and Warbreaker are all fitting into the same universe. There's been several hints and Easter eggs dropped in the books and I know can't wait for the others (and his other series) to come out and start the linking fest!

Finished game of thrones over the weekend, and since I bought clash of kings on my tablet for my kindle app, I forgot to download it to my kindle, which is what I had at bloodstock with me. So I started to re-read a quest for lost heroes by David gemmell, and finished it as we were heading into Glasgow

Read 'News from Gardenia' (http://www.amazon.co.uk/News-Gardenia-R ... 1908717122) the other week and absolutely loved it - was so nice to read a sci fi book that was Utopian instead of dystopian, giving hope for the future

Creature Of Havoc- the last of the early Steve Jackson/Fighting Fantasy books that I haven't played. Finally tracked down in a charity shop yesterday. Got it sat ready to play later along with an appropriate soundtrack (I'm thinking Attacker and early Fates Warning)
