I love the first couple of Hellraiser movies, but three was just silly and the rest I've seen were pretty pointless.

Hellraiser isn't the sort of franchise that you can turn into a self-parody like, for instance, the Leprechaun franchise. Leprechaun 4: In Space and Leprechaun in the Hood were comedy gold.

Thing is Leprechaun started daft, so that kind of transition worked. Hellraiser (and possibly Hellraiser 2) were serious horror movies. Hellraiser 3 was intended as one but kind of lost its way (I really like it but mostly for the gore), and it seems since then they're just churning them out in a hope they'll make money (which I can't see them doing, as I wasn't aware there were any more after Inferno!).

I think I've seen all the Hellraiser films although if you asked me what any are about past the third one I'd struggle to remember. They've been direct to video for years so I doubt they're making much money. I do remember really enjoying Hellraiser 3 but I've never re-watched it since seeing it at the cinema when it first came out. Which is an eternity ago (probably before half of you were born!!!).

It didn't get shown at any cinemas near where I lived so I had to resort to ordering a pirate copy which surprisingly turned out to be of quite a decent quality.

As for the series, I am ashamed to say I have seen them all. Well, apart from the last one, Revelations, because Doug Bradley had nothing to do with it.

My opinion of Curse of Chucky has just skyrockted after finding out about this scene after the credits.

Naturally, spoilers.

It's the best part of the film.

Enders Game looks alright.. But the quote in the trailer of "Harry Potter meets Star Wars" just makes me want to nope the fuck out.

I like Harry Potter.
I like Star Wars.
I do not need a middleground.

Just sat and watched Ghost for the first time.

Never really appealed but as it turns out isn't actually a bad film.

Bit of a thin plot and soppy but some funny moments and worth watching.

I'd like to see Filth before it finishes in the cinemas. Not sure I'll get round to it though.

Saw Escape Plan last night. Nothing particularly original, but a great buddy action movie.

Anyone seeing the Carrie remake? I want to know how much they messed it up.

Most reviews suggest it's decent but not a patch on the original. Which I haven't seen in absolutely years. The new Thor movie is getting a generally positive response, both Empire and SFX gave it 4/5.

It doesn't look great.
For a start, they cast a pretty young girl as Carrie.

Point. Missed.

I love how the baddies in the original Carrie are John Travolta and Officer Lewis out of Robocop.
