Anyone have any experience with these Zippo hand warmer things? Are they worth the money or not? I'm expecting to be outside for approx 6 hours a day through the winter, I won't have access to boiling water to recharge the 'self heating' type and the microwaveable ones are only good for about an hour max usually...

Hey people, I know there's a merch trading section but figured I'd just throw this in here too due to knowing lots of you meaning you might be more willing to buy:

Selling a ticket for Paradise Lost + Lacuna Coil + Katatonia (getting an hour set) in Manchester on Friday 1st November for £24 with free postage (saving a fiver off face value and postage) or nearest offer.

BBC fucking loves me. Every time they talk about cycling my phone rings. I've been on the radio twice this week. They should put me on the payroll.

Looks fishy to me for a few reasons:

1) Mis-spelling of your forum name

2) They have mods. They wouldn't threaten you with a ban directly.

I reckon someone's yanking your chain.

Nice to see webmaster's still as prompt as ever.

Nice to see he's taken my request to communicate with the moderating team, the team that spend time on the board and have a little more understanding of what tends to go on amongst the forum community, a little more closely, very seriously indeed.

Webmaster remains committed to ensuring the user has a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the entire website.

Where's that dead horse gone? I haven't beaten it enough yet.

It's ok, I can say this since he doesn't actually seem to like metal so has no reason to visit the forum at any time, ever. Seriously, call him silly, childish names. He'll never know. What? I AM being mature! No, you're the poo-poo head.
If it sounds good, listen to it

Wanna retire on a music royalties? Write a Christmas Song, or something that'll end up in a movie:

Really surprised Mariah Careys christmas song isn't in that list of top grossing songs. Not a fucking christmas advert that goes by without it. I wouldn't mind so much but its a fucking awful song, sang by a fucking awful person.

I read an interview with Myke Gray from Skin - for those that are too young, they were a baby Whitesnake/Thunder rock band that had an unusual amount of press in the middle of grunge. They had a Top 10 album and got on TOTP a few times, but they never earned more than £150 each per week. When they split up, he wrote You're My Mate for Right Said Fred and it was a hit across Europe and earned him £500k!

Another freak one was an industrial band called Cubunate, who got nowhere but 4 of their songs were used to pad out a soundtrack for Grand Turismo. The album was a runaway success, and earned the main man a 'lottery win' and he retired from music having only released 10 songs.

I came to grief with that lot a few years ago in a situation where I gave as good as I got. Believe me, they like to give it but can't take it.

Just read this about the city I was born in.

Following a riot in the city in 1274, Norwich has the distinction of being the only English city to be excommunicated by the Pope.
