Just been thinking about the whole CM Punk vs Paul Heyman feud which resulted in facing Brock Lesnar, Curtis Axel & Ryback only for Ryback & Axel to be dropped by Heyman.

I think it would have been good if they'd have had Heyman bring in people from Punks past to take on Punk.
For example at around the same time TNA released DOC, WWE could have rehired the former Straight Edge Society member Luke Gallows even on a short term basis.
They could have brought in Colt Cabana to play the jealous best friend that was dropped by WWE and could have said Punk tried to get him rehired but didn't try hard enough.
They could have aligned RVD with Heyman to take on Punk as Heymans former favourite instead of his lackluster feud with Del Rio.
And then it could have come to a head at WrestleMania if they could have secured him in time against a heel Jeff Hardy coming back and aligning himself with Heyman and could have played up the title matches before Hardy left and the promos punk cut on Hardy after he left WWE.

TNA seems to have missed out on so many potential story arcs it is painful to watch feuds that could be drawn out and given some depth be stunted and over with in a couple of weeks.

Regretting not staying up for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom last night now. It's going to be a pain in the arse trying to find links today. I did find a cool new avatar while searching though.

EDIT: which I can't get to work. Also, turns out I got the time difference wrong and the show isn't over, which is why I can't find any download links yet!

I reckon now Daniel Bryan has joined the Wyatt Family they're gonna have a face turn and pretty much turn into The Beards and do promos like this.

Been hearing rumours of Piper and Hogan working Wrestlemania 30.

Rumours of a tag match with Cena.

Wouldn't mind it if they did something like Hogan and Cena vs The Real Americans with Piper in their corner.

Well rumours also had bray Wyatt main eventing mania so don't believe everything you read. I have no doubt hogan will be there though. Another rumour is Batista vs lesnar for the title. Apparently Batista is sticking around long termmso winning the royal rumble is not entirely impossible, I'd rather see punk in the main event though if I'm honest.

Can see Lesnar vs Orton for the title.

Batista vs Orton even would at least have the history to build off if they went the Brock vs Taker route.

Ideally the build would have been right to see Bryan vs Ziggler for the title, Sting vs Taker for the streak and CM Punk vs AJ Styles in a ladder match.

I think punk vs cena should be the main event, really. I'm sure I've said it on here before but they don't have bad matches together.

They don't have bad matches but they do have matches we've seen repeated several times barely 18 months ago.

Hogan will definitely not be wrestling- no one will insure him to. The man you see on camera is not the same as off it, the guy is pretty much crippled. I don't know what the main event will be but I reckon Lesnar will be in the streak match. The rumour is after 3 years of really close fought matches at Mania they need a really convincing win for Taker over a former opponent.

I've just started watching WWE again after about 10 years away. Watched TLC today and just downloaded the latest Raw and Smackdown.

What else have I missed?

4 matches into Wrestle Kingdom now, was a really good match for the NWA World Heavyweight title. Rob Conway put on probably the match of his life and Satoshi Kojima is now a 5-time world champ. Was great to see Harley Race there to present the belt as well.

The Young Bucks/Generation Me are getting over really well in Japan too, as are Luke Gallows, Lance Archer and David Hart Smith. All 3 guys who can put on great matches but just weren't given the scope to do so by WWE.

18 months is a fairly long time considering they put on the same match 4-5 ppvs in a row at times, and going off the only Batista vs lesnar match I know of, punk vs cena would be a better main event on their worst day. Batista vs Orton would be my second choice.

I would have a Cena vs Orton vs Batista main event. Orton drops the belt to Batista, but regains it at Over The Limit. He then starts feuding with a super-face Cody Rhodes who wins the title at Summerslam in a loser leaves town match, where Cena also loses to Bray Wyatt and has to leave WWE. Cena and Orton are gone off to work in Hollywood for about 18 months (til about Royal Rumble 2016) and Batista meanwhile feuds with the likes of Sheamus, Ryback, Del Rio, Roman Reigns, Lesnar etc.

They did that multiple PPV and Raw episodes feud between Punk and Cena.

Just wouldn't be able to get excited about it personally.
