It's been like a year since me and Graeme have seen each other, we'll probably turn full homo this weekend. Would that satisfy everyone?

I think Nantha was referring to 2 people getting together because they both use the forum rather than being together and then joining.

My mum's been pestering me to get with someone, bless her, but i'm still in two minds about it all. Dating sites are just rife of rejection and i'd rather save myself the hassle & grief of repeating the same old crap over and over. On the other hand it would be nice to have someone to spoon again.
Sigh.

This is all completely spot on. "How To Pick Your Life Partner"

http://waitbutwhy.com/2014/02/pick-life-partner.html
http://waitbutwhy.com/2014/02/pick-life ... art-2.html

Especially:

From afar, a great marriage is a sweeping love story, like a marriage in a book or a movie. And that’s a nice, poetic way to look at a marriage as a whole.

But human happiness doesn’t function in sweeping strokes, because we don’t live in broad summations—we’re stuck in the tiny unglamorous folds of the fabric of life, and that’s where our happiness is determined.

So if we want to find a happy marriage, we need to think small—we need to look at marriage up close and see that it’s built not out of anything poetic, but out of 20,000 mundane Wednesdays.

Marriage isn’t the honeymoon in Thailand—it’s day four of vacation #56 that you take together. Marriage is not celebrating the closing of the deal on the first house—it’s having dinner in that house for the 4,386th time. And it’s certainly not Valentine’s Day.

Marriage is Forgettable Wednesday. Together.

I slowly realized how important it is to have someone you actually get on with, not just someone with a sexy bottom or something.

Having a sexy bottom is a nice plus though.

That isn't common knowledge? Seriously?

i think i just got less shallow after I grew out of an extended teenage like period. you kind of run around wanting to penis the sexiest thing going and not being to bothered about much else, possibly not bothering with female friends anyway, or even not knowing how to deal with them. throw some misogyny into the broth and you end up not really considering the girls personality or interests anywhere near enough.

You'd be surprised how many guys still haven't reached this conclusion yet. Eventually you realise that you'll just want a girl whom you're happy to just enjoy doing things together, but at the same time doing nothing together.

Apologies if that doesn't make sense...probably sounded better in my mind.

It is common knowledge, just remember who you're speaking to...

Well, that's 8 months and god knows how much money down the pan. On the plus side, it doesn't hurt that much, at least not yet anyway.
