Looks like I'm probably going to vote Conservative in the next election. Never would've seen that coming :P

You're from Kent, it's practically guaranteed that you would from birth.

Our local MP is actually really good, is why.

That's pretty much confirming what I said?

A Conservative MP doesn't make a Conservative government. I think I've mentioned before about the UKIP local councillor candidate who posted a flyer through our door. Each side was devoted to UKIP's policies and the candidate's promises. The UKIP side was touting the whole "29 MILLION BULGARIANS AND ROMANIANS ARE COMING TO TAKE YOUR JOB" thing. The candidate's main promise? To have twice-weekly bin collections.

Yeah, that was my point... The shitty policies don't effect him - it makes sense to vote for that candidate because the he's the best in the area, and the policies made by the tories must not effect him enough for him not to vote for that candidate or it would be unlikely that he would.
Pretty clear statement I thought?

Local MPs don't necessarily support the decisions made by the government as a whole.

Sounded like you were criticising Tory policies as not affecting 'Burp in the sense that he's not completely shafted by them like other strata of society are. Sorry for misreading.
