Yeah, that was my point... The shitty policies don't effect him - it makes sense to vote for that candidate because the he's the best in the area, and the policies made by the tories must not effect him enough for him not to vote for that candidate or it would be unlikely that he would.
Pretty clear statement I thought?

Local MPs don't necessarily support the decisions made by the government as a whole.

Sounded like you were criticising Tory policies as not affecting 'Burp in the sense that he's not completely shafted by them like other strata of society are. Sorry for misreading.

Jesus.
Yes but it's first past the post in this country so if you're voting for a conservative MP then you must not be that bothered by their policies because each MP's seat counts towards that post in your constituency. If you lived in a constituency like London where it's conservative nearly every election you could say that it didn't really matter anyway but if that's your thinking then you may as well not vote.
Jesus H Christ!
No it was just a simple comment!? I don't care what way one person votes or another, the country's fairly fucked any which way.

Wait, what? Which one?!
Also the majority of London constituencies are currently held by Labour.

Unless I vote Conservative my vote is generally wasted frustratingly.
They're crafty here, when the Tories are likely gonna suffer in the overall there'll be numerous "independents" who were previous Tory candidates.
Ah politics.

My local MP is Dennis Skinner, and has been for the last 44 years. I don't need to worry about a thing, I'd have voted for him anyway.

South London - I'm fairly bad at my English Geography.
I was just making a point that around his area people must like the Tories a fair bit more than up where I live, that's what I meant by "not effected as much".
Anyway, moving on...

I have spent more of today than I'd care to admit adding an icon to each tv series, movie genre, wrestling promotion (yes, including Raw, Smackdown and individual PPVs) folder on my laptop..
I don't even really know why I've done it. It won't benefit me in the slightest, it just looks more interesting than a shitload of folders..
