Despite it being our relatively short summer I still have a shitload of EU portfolio to do, showing that I have a good knowledge of other fields of nursing/midwifery. Finally did my clinical visit to a place for learning disabilities today. I have to admit it is not something that interests me in the slightest but I managed to find somewhere for 0-3 year olds. They were looovely.

Chris called me from work today saying they're really understaffed and would I go help in the kitchen during evening service. It's gonna be menial work but I'm rather excited - it's still a 2 rosette restaurant. Working below Chris again will be strange though, to say the least...

Housemate bought me some nice local beers from her holiday in Wales, to say thank you for keeping her pets alive for a week.

Also had a few promising messages back and forth with one of those girl types on OKCupid. She wants to watch me skate in a tournament on sunday; so we'll see how that goes.

Dad just helped me measure for a suit and I've gone down 2" around my waist and 4" across my chest. Add that to a weight loss of 2 stone and I'm feeling pretty good about my time in Australia so far

Last night went well, going in again tonight to help out with another wedding. They agreed in return for me helping to be a reference on my CV over the time I'm out of work. Doesn't resolve money issues but at least I don't have a gap on my CV.
