If you're in Chester, you could also try to convince Kate's parents that you're her, you just died your hair.

Anyone know anything about getting rid of ants? They have chosen the opportune time to invade the conservatory (tonnes of huge, flying fuckers) whilst my parents are away.

Poured bleach down the hole they were emerging from and am going to pick up some ant traps tomorrow. Can't use pesticides with the dogs around though.

The flying ones will lose their wings tonight. Just sweep the mess up tomorrow.

Salt, Spraying Vinegar or a mix of soap and water could do the trick

Yeah, soapy water works fine :) I used it many times in the past.

Many times? :P

That's why they are coming back. You need to kill the queen.

They weren't exactly close together times. This was spread apart over the first 12 years or so of my life :P

Sorry, I should be more exact. From the ages of about 4/5 to 12.

When I worked for the council, I worked alongside a guy who tried to use a strimmer to get rid of a wasps' nest.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Is it worth attempting to make Scotch Eggs using pickled eggs rather than normal boiled ones or is that bound to be a culinary abomination?

What's the worst that could happen? (That was an answer rather than a question)

I'd try one. Pickled eggs are the shit! Everytime I went into Birmingham, Johns fish and chips shop - mini fish and chips with curry sauce and 2 pickled eggs. :D

Pickled eggs are boiled, aren't they? Might work fine, just that you'll get the pickled tangyness when you bite through the breadcrumbs and meat.

One of the great phrases in cooking is "Fuck it, let's see what happens". :D

Agreed. Plus if you make food for yourself you kid yourself it's alright. Even blame the bum gravy that comes out the other end on something else you might have eaten. Cooking is a beautiful thing.
