I have to sleep on the floor tonight because the bed's broken :/
Wouldn't mind if it wasn't my first night back from Bloodstock and I was looking forward to a really good night in a nice comfy bed!

All this Robin Williams crap.
He was an alright stand up comedian and was great when you were kid watching Mork And Mindy. But as an actor I thought he was terrible and just seemed to be playing himself most of the time, a slightly retarded, hyperactive manchild.
Suicide apparently. Must of watched one of his films.

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Eh? A selfish bastard smackhead kills himself and leaves children and loved ones behind, and everyone is crying their eyes out and saying all kinds of nice things about him.
Most people probably think it's Robbie Williams anyway.

Where does it say heroin?
Re: Trivial Grumblings
He had an addiction. HAD being the operative word. He'd also been battling with depression since the 80s.
But yeah, let's stick with the sweeping generalisations and call him a smackhead, easier done eh?

The ignorance is strong in this one.
I really hope you don't have loved ones around you who silently suffer from the horrible illness that is depression and/or addiction. Frack forbid you'd ever spew that shit around them. I've known people who have committed suicide or have tried to - it's a last resort at a time when they are not themselves, merely a shell of what they used to be when they were healthy. I still find it mind boggling that someone your age can be so blind and ignorant, but at least it makes me appreciate that I tend to surround myself with friends and family who know better. Do yourself a favour and educate yourself.
As we say in Sweden; Lär om, lär rätt.

Re: Trivial Grumblings
What started out as a trivial grumbling about the media overkill of an overrated comedian and actor IMO has turned into a shitstorm.
I take it none of you have ever seen his stand up. He told sick jokes. I reckon he would of appreciated the joke.
I've known quite a few suicides and people who've died from drugs. I also know kids without parents because of selfish behaviour. So I don't need lecturing about it.

Seems like you've offended everyone in a particular age group.
I'm sad he's dead and all, but it's not like he was Harold Ramis or Phillip Seymour Hoffman or anything.

He probably would've appreciated the joke, you're right. But you can't expect to say something like that and not have people (fans or not) get upset about it.
You may think he's overrated - that's your personal opinion, but the fact is that he gave memorable performances in many films that formed an incredibly important part of our childhoods, and that's what the media and everyone on social networks are getting at.
