What blew your mind today
Re: What Blew Your Mind Today?
The amount of thunderstorms we get here. This is the fourth one this week. Sunny in the day, then late afternoon early evening comes and thunder and lightning everywhere. It's cool.

Double post. I just skipped an advert on spotify. Double clicked on something and it fucked off. You have no power here.

That comment can be read very diffferently than what was meant.

Went to Stradbroke Island (just off the coast of Brisbane) today and saw whales migrating.
I didn't realise that the waving and splashing they do in places like SeaWorld are actually things they do naturally. Unsurprisingly, it's infinitely more amazing to see them do it in the wild than in captivity.
Fuck SeaWorld and other marine parks that keep these awesome creatures in captivity. I saw someone share info on Facebook about an orca that's been kept in a small marine park in Miami for 44 years. There was an aerial shot of it in the pool (which admittedly may be questionable in accuracy, as it was shared from the Peta2 page) and its size alone took up about 1/6th of the tank it was in. Disgusting.

My favourite place name (apart from Twatt obviously) is Lickey End. Actually near Bromsgrove.

Yeah it's near the Lickey hills if I am not mistaken.
I understand J. R. R. Tolkien got alot of inspiration from this part of the world for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Watch it again, I am sure you'll be able to make out the M42 running through the middle. Unfortunately you don't get this guided tour from me if you visit Birmingham, I take people around all the places they're likely to get stabbed.

More people will die TODAY of AIDS than have died so far in the entire Ebola epidemic.

Still concerned about the spread of Ebola but that puts things into perspective somewhat.

All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

The spread of AIDs is preventable though. Anyway, I work as a cleaner for Sodexo and its medics on this camp so today they all had a briefing about Sierra Leone and they are off on Friday to help contain the disease. Just hope noone brings it back.
What blew my mind? When Friday comes.... There will be more British soldiers fighting Ebola than there currently are fighting the Taliban and Islamic State.
