Erm. The previous two UK Prime Ministers were Scottish. And don't forget that Cameron is of Scottish descent.

Scotland is like a fat person politically. It has an idea of what it wants to be, and constantly complains about it's current situation, but it's never going to put in the effort to change.

It's just that I remember what I was like when I was that age, wanting to rebel against everything. At 16 you think you know it all, then you look back and you realise you knew fuck all.

Also the changes that happen between the ages of 16, 18 and then 21 are astronomical. It only seems a few years but you don't half change. And possibly grow up, if you're unlucky.

Of course people are calling it rigged now because there is a video of a few bundles of ballot papers with yes marked on them on the no table.

I would bet my life that said papers were moved to the yes pile when they were seen. People seriously need to stop thinking we live in the Third Reich or something and get over the fact that Salmond lost this referendum.... although, it was inevitable.

Salmond's done the decent thing and resigned.

So I take it Nicola Sturgeon will be the new First Minister?

The internet independence warriors are being absolutely vile everywhere you look. Saying that people who voted no 'should be ashamed of themselves', are 'cowards who don't deserve to call themselves Scottish' and I even saw one person say 'only the older people voted no, they should be dead and leave Scotland to the young'. I mean wtf, every person was voting in what they thought was in the best interests of their country, and the SNPs case was pretty fucking weak on balance. Baffling.

This is very true, wonder what makes us think we know so much when we are young? Especially seen as we've experienced so little.

So called "Loyalists" and yes supporters are scrapping in George Square, Glasgow.
Sad that people cannot accept a democratic process without resorting to violence, however disappointed they may be with the result.

I suspect that certain people were just there looking for trouble.

I think that's more true of the early 20s. Lots of people are so unjustifiably cocksure at that age. *cough*

I've always thought it a bit strange that you have to mark your choice on a ballot paper with a cross rather than a tick. It doesn't feel right.

Anyway, I feel relieved at the outcome but also a bit sorry for the heartbroken Yes voters. Ironically, it seems now that the whole thing will trigger a lot of change in England too.

If that bufoniform first minister of yours had allowed the English to vote on the issue, Scotland would be an independent nation this morning.

Why can't you gingers follow through on one simple promise?

You were meant to lead your fellow slippery inbred celtic brethren into a new age of not being a drain on English finances ffs.

Now I have to put up with the fucking cornish forever.

Fuck off!
