Glad to see Rosberg finally pressure Hamilton into a mistake, thereby fending him off for the win, but after his inability to sort himself out he almost definitely threw the title in the bin last week in Texas, would be 3 points instead of 17 right now which would've made for an awesome finale.

Haven't been watching the last 4 seasons very closely save who's won what race but glad for that result.

Disappointed with the result, but not entirely surprised. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that McLaren see sense and announce Button driving for them in 2015 next week.

This and this, and a repeat of what i said above about Rosberg throwing it away in Texas. That said, had the two drivers been in the opposite cars today, the championship would've gone the other way, which says a lot about how big a factor luck can be.

Little preview of McLaren's new Honda engine for 2015...

http://video.sky.it/sport/formula1/abu_ ... 222474.vid

Sounding a little better, though we've yet to hear it at full revs.

Also, recently found this F1 engine sound comparison from the same position at Melbourne between 2013 and 2014: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS4Dh_EAfJI

So, they're doing away with the silly final race: double points gimmick next year. We'll miss it, said nobody with any interest in the sport ever.

As if I needed any more reason to love Valentino Rossi, he really could be at the top of any motorsport he wanted.

Motorcyclists are fucking nuts.

FIA have their annual "Action of the year" poll up. Tough choice,, think Lopez going from P28 to P1 in a couple of laps wins it though.

Yep. I always thought it a shame that he never got the Ferrari drive in F1.

BTCC tickets are available on the MSV circuit websites. Not at Donington or Silverstone yet though.

WEC tickets for 6 hours of Silverstone are available though! £40 per person for the weekend.

Well, at least McLaren have finally got around to making the correct decision. Alonso/Button could be an interesting pairing to watch.

Ughhhh, the 2014 F1 season review on the BBC has "Lewis Hamilton" as the start of the title of the program, and was introduced as the BBC "looking back on Lewis Hamtilton's year."

Not "looking back on the season," literally introduced as a program about Hamilton. Don't remember them doing that for Vettel the last 4 seasons (see "2012: What a year!") , or more importantly for Jenson Button in 2009 either.

Not massively important, just ugh.
