The newest Slo-Mo guys video, they spun CD's fast enough till they shattered, which was pretty cool looking. But with the new Phantom camera they shot it at 170,000 frames per second. The 4 second clip would take 7 and a half hours to watch. That's just ridiculous...

Entirely justified.

I'm sure higher frame rates have their place, but all it did in the Hobbits case was highlight how fake the movie was, CGI stood out like a sore thumb and studio sets looked like studio sets.

Although there are some surprises - the Welsh have a strong connection with western Germany and also a significant amount of Spanish DNA. The authors estimate the AngloSaxon contribution to be from 10% to 40%.
