It's like knob'ead, outside of Manchester nobody really uses it so it's allowed on the BBC.

No knobhead is Liverpool. So is gobshite. I've never heard a Manc shout "You fucking knobhead" before and I've spent a lot of time there. But we do use it as a derogatory term for Man United fans.

Wrong, it's not limited to there and tbh seems like something that would probably be used all over. It's pretty normal for that to be used in Nottingham, and also heard it used often when at school in loughborough, which means it's probably used in Leicester too.

Knob'ead was used a fair bit when I was at school, although not as much as dick'ead. Don't think anyone used Gobshite.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!

One I haven't heard for a while is sconehead. We used to use that all the time as kids. Had a similar meaning as dickhead or knobhead. It was probably just a tame version so that you weren't swearing in front of teachers or your parents.

And it's scone as in gone rather than cone. :eyes:

Further to the thing about Germans not being efficient but expecting others to be, I was supposed to hand in a copy of my Student ID by yesterday but haven't had a chance yet because their office hours are 9-11am only, Monday Wednesday and Friday, and I have classes through these times.

If I don't hand it in by tomorrow (only 2 days late) my entire rent contract becomes void. Ridculous.

So it seems the hospitals main theory now is that I have TB... Had blood taken this morning for a specialist test for TB. As soon as the nurse took the blood she put it into the envelope which was given to a courier waiting outside the room who is currently taking it to Belfast to then be flown to England and tested this afternoon. I think it made the other people waiting for their blood tests a bit nervous, as if I may have some crazy disease

You are going to have to start drinking absinthe and writing depressing poetry now.

Unrelated, but Jon Jones has been arrested on a felony hit and run charge, drugs were round in the car, he's been stripped of his title and Cormier is taking his place in the fight. Wow... what a disaster..

jones is a fool, i have no sympathy for him really. there are better fighters than him so its not a huge loss to UFC, although its definitely a loss.

Well, Tuberculosis is a crazy disease. I was under the impression the UK was well shot of it a century or so ago

I don't think it's been gotten rid of. It was certainly brought under control in certain regions.
I know I still had to have a TB jab, but my brother and sister didn't because the local authority decided there'd been so few reported cases, that they didn't need to immunise any more.

yeah...sound logic that.
