That made me laugh! :eyes:

Finding a copy of a Conran lamp I have wanted for ages in my new Next Directory for a fraction of the price and a new mirror to die for!

Yes, I am truly sad especially as the two combined will cost as much as a new iPod. I think that will have to wait for Xmas!

Digging out the Cyclone and III albums by Vow Wow. It all went a bit downhill after they moved to the UK imo, but those two were great albums.

Was their Tube appearances that got my attention:

I was given a Vow Wow album once. All I remember is that it had a cover of Helter Skelter on it.

That one's dreadful :hurl:

They moved to the UK after the one's I mentioned, recruited Neil Murray on bass and started to become more commercial with the V album. Helter Skelter followed in 1989.

God, I remember that. I was quite impressed at the time.
I thought Vow Wow had a lot of potential but their lead singer's voice took a bit of getting used to. Pretty nifty guitarist, mind you.
I think there is a version still going in Japan.

The weather getting better (for its own sake, and also it might magically be the same in North Germany)

Having bollocks-all responsibility which would otherwise impinge on my endless free time

Chatting to a mate about Wacken, he's off tomorrow the lucky bugger

Generally being on a high-cloud :)

The thing thats making me feel happy at the moment is knowing I don't have to move an inch today. Absolutely nothing I have to do.

So all my time is being spent on this forum, listening to music, texting friends and the occasional WoW session *cough*

I hated my time on the dole, being treated like a complete waster is not
my idea of fun! I always got a proper bollocking off them for some minor
thing. Least I didn't have to go on the 6 month re-training course, I hear
it is just like the Pauline sketch from League of Gentlemen!

I've had two long spells on the dole and they rank among the worst experiences of my life. It's wholly unpleasant waking up at four in the afternoon because you've bugger all to do and knowing you've got bugger all done again. Like you said, it's soul destroying dealing with people looking down their noses at you. Whether it was pity or contempt, only a total dosser could be unaffected by it.

Don't get me started on New Deal.
