To be fair, our trains are appallingly overcrowded. As a daily rail commuter into London, I have to deal with sardine can style carriages every day. It's vile.

I know what trains are like. I travel on them all the time for fun.
It's the fact that he decided to pick one that was half empty then make out it was so "ram packed" that he had to sit on the floor that made me laugh. Plenty of trains are dangerously overcrowded, just not the one he decided to film on.
All as a call to bring back British Rail. I remember BR very well. It was great if you wanted to travel on dilapidated rolling stock from the 1950s that had been neglected since being built. Dirty squalid stations that were no go areas after dark. Cancelled and unpunctual trains that make Southern seem like DB.
It was cheaper because nobody wanted to travel on it. It was a national joke.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree that renationalising isn't necessarily the solution. My point was really just about the current inadequacy of the system to meet commuters' needs. Corbyn's photos were obviously a publicity stunt from the start, that was never in doubt, and I say that as someone who actually likes the guy.

Actually someone I know was on that train, and there were no seats other than in first class so he was having to sit on the floor, and then Corbyn came and sat down next to him!

Every year I drive past the Creamfields festival and I always see kids heading to the campsite dragging suitcases behind them in the mud. Does this happen at Boa?

I've seen a few people with suitcases at BOA. Not the most practical thing when going though a muddy field but I guess it is better for the rest of the journey.

I bring a suitcase for easiness sake. It's got wheels, it's not been too muddy so far, and I'm far far too lazy to actually carry my crate.
Re: What made you Lol Today?
Someone I used to work with is on Facebook broadcasting live from Creamfields, which appears to be people standing around going wild whilst someone up on stage plays music off their laptop. What is the fucking point?
