If they are the Sophie headliner then I hope there's more to the announcement than them as I find Power Quest dull.

I'd be amazed if they're Sophie headliner, they're nowhere near big enough, headlining in London they get small crowds (around the 100 mark), and they played to a small crowd in the Sophie in 2013, they won't headline.

That said though, I'd be very happy for them to be booked, an opening slot on the main stage would be great for them.

In 2013 they had a small crowd, not helped with clashing with other bands. We watched a bit during the change over.

Unfortunately Power Quest are just the sort of shite Power Metal that Bloodstock like to book. See Dragonforce, IAMI, etc.

They like to book Dragonforce? Looked more like they hated booking them lol - they booked them at the indoor in 2003, then despite them getting big and being popular, they waited 13 years to book them again by which time their popularity had significantly reduced.

Power Quest are pretty ropey but they'll come cheap and tick the power metal box. No way they'd headline the Sophie tent though.

Twice was more than their worth.

It must be my imagination as they seemed to play all the time. Must have been at other festivals then. I spent most of the Noughties trying to avoid them.

Dragonforce tend to play Download every two years. They're a good bet along with Bullet for my Valentine and In Flames to appear somewhere on a Download line-up.

Helloween have just announced a short stint of dates in the US and Canada for Sept 2018, as Pumpkins United...so they clearly intend to be doing this for a while.

Well Monday would fit in for W.A.S.P. as well, so I might be right on that (should of put them in my bingo dammit)
