Four substitutes?
Christ! I remember when you had one and you didn't really use him in case you got an injury and ended up with ten men. Sometime you would throw him on for the last ten minutes or so. That was the days of the real supersubs.

You can probably remember when there were no subs at all
I thought it was still 3, maybe it's 4 in the League Cup to facilitate more junior squad members getting playing time or one extra if it goes to extra time like the City game did?

Yeah afaik it's one extra in extra time, probably due to the likelyhood of cramps and shit.
And Puel seems an odd choice from leicester. Was shite at southampton

When your second string has one of the best strikers in the league and a shitload of internationals, that ins't an excuse. Just give Wolve's their due.
Guardiola's topped that, he's blaming the match ball http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41751058

Shite? I thought he did quite well, didn't set the world alight but managed finishing 8th and getting to the league cup final and giving Utd a run for their money isn't to be sniffed at; alright it was pretty crappy football to grind out results but at the end of the day that's all clubs want really.

Yes. But they were probably bought from the Poundshop looking at the mismanagement of this tournament so far. Draws in the early hours to help the Oriental sponsors and they still get it wrong.

Still a shambles.
"Watch the draw live on Twitter at 4pm".
Nope, nothing happening.....
Even the BBC is taking the piss.
Now blaming Twatter.
Gone half past five still nothing....
Even Donald Trump managed to do the draw.

The official Carabao Cup Twitter feed has said this:
"Draw delayed: Carabao Cup Round Five Draw will now take place at 5pm following a minor technical glitch at Twitter HQ."

The draw wasn't live in the end, it was pre-recorded.
But at least it's been made - albeit it an hour and 48 minutes late.
For anyone that's bothered.
Chelsea v Bournemouth
Arsenal v West Ham
Leicester v Manchester City
Bristol City v Manchester United
Fix?

The amount of theories flying around are quite interesting Think the EFL were holding the monkey's paw when they wished that people would pay attention to the league cup
If it was to be fixed then they've done an absolutely terrible job at it, surely by publicly delaying and then switching from a live to a pre-recording draw only puts it under more of a spotlight than it would have done had it just been done behind closed doors from the start.
As for making sure the big names reach the later stages? Why fix it? Like earlier in the thread about Man City, the big teams have enough money that their reserve teams are strong enough to reach the later stages anyway. An underdog would increase interest in the tournament (although probably not for the overseas market which I guess is their main focus).
Don't know who this Carabao lot are but their name is being tied to an omni-shambles of a tournament.

Carabao is apparently an energy drink form the Far East.
I've heard it being called a fifth rate Red Bull. Even has a bulls skull, that looks strangely like the Wacken logo.

Never thought I'd say this but England have won a world cup! Under 17 but hey, closest I'm ever going to get England winning something

Erm, didn't they win the Under 20s World Cup the other week?

Done out of a 32 quid accumulator tonight by Linfield bottling it against Ards FC in the Irish Cup, despite coasting to a 2-0 win in the exact same fixture in the league just two days ago.

Correction, it was the Antrim Shield. This is why I hate local football, far too many competitions.
