Really? That passed me by

The rumors that Watain were a pain in the ass to deal with must of been a bit overblown if they've booked them to return, though I guess now they get to play in the dark.
Re: Next announcement
Pleased with Watain, give me something to look forward too whilst struggling through Nighwish.
Combichrist though...really
Why do we always get shite, inappropriate bands from the 90s that no-one ever asked for? Great to see some power metal on the main stage though, not a particular favourite of mine but can't complain.

Re: Next announcement
Very interesting announcement. Not fussed at all on Watain, though interesting to see that they must be increasing the size of the Sophie stage. Memoriam do nothing for me either. Combichrist are interesting, they might be a bit of a change for Bloodstock and I'd definitely watch them. Ordan Ogan are definitely the band of the announcement for me, I've wanted to see them for a while now.
BANDS I LIKE FOR BLOODSTOCK!!!
Re: Next announcement
Orden Ogan! Very, very happy about that - although somewhat surprised at the timing, given that they have a couple of UK dates coming up next week. I wonder if they've already sold well enough that they're not worried about losing ticket sales for them.

Re: Next announcement
Not bad, not bad.
Watain - should be great in the headlining slot on the Sophie, thought they wouldn't be welcome back, but obviously that's been resolved.
Oden Ogan - find them a bit bland, but will watch
Combichrist - brave move by the fest, but I like them lots, so this is a good announcement for me. Although I prefer their earlier albums where they were aggrotech/EBM, on their last album they tried to hard to move in the rock/metal direction, and they're better doing the hard electro stuff.
Memmorian - dunno, guys that used to be in Bolt Thrower aren't they?

Re: Next announcement
Watain sucked last time, but I might give them another shot as there's nothing else on.
Combichrist are a slightly unexpected booking, I used to listen to them quite a lot so they'll certainly be someone I show up for.
Orden Ogan is a good pick for our token mainstage power metal band, hopefully we'll see a bit more of that kind of thing though.
Memorium I've heard of but not listened to before, so one for the list.
Pretty good announcement then.

Re: Next announcement
I really like Memoriam as I grew up listening to Bolt Thrower and they are more of the same. Might be a bit old school for some but a good retro vibe for me.

Re: Next announcement
So pleased with this announcement! Definitely surprised to see them book Combichrist, but I'm not complaining as I enjoy their music a lot. Watain I am glad to see back, and in a much better setting too.

Watain are Sunday Sophie headliners, the rest are mainstage bands
Combichrist should be good though thought the Sophie stage would of been better. Meant to see Memoriam the other year but they clashed with Anthrax so I'll try and give them a go this time round
I watched both of them. I was more interested in Memoriam, but they had finished before Anthrax had started.

Ah, 2003, close enough - it sounds like the sort of shit that was popular in the 90s!

Re: Next announcement
Nice one Orden ogan. Seeing them at manchester. Shame they aren't on the same day as judas priest. Also a shame there isnt more power metal. Will attend friday for priest and perhaps saturday depending on how the lineup takes shape perhaps even watching orden ogan and leaving early if nothing else interests.
