What's worse with Tammy Abraham is that his first name is actually Kevin!

Definitely a hard blokes name. Most of the Welsh Rugby team was named Emlyn at one point.

As an aside, my cousin was Emlyn Hughes's daughter Emma's best mate at school.

Such a girly name his daughter's was practically the same

Evra banned for seven months.

Hopefully that will be the last we see of the lying cunt.

Got to admit, England beat my expectations tonight (of which I had none) which is a pleasant surprise.

Still only the second best (former) Man United Frenchman fan-kicking incident!

I only know one person who spells it Mattie and it's a bloke. He wears dresses and looks like a mermaid, but still a fella though!

Northern Ireland outperformed Switzerland to fuck in the second half tonight and they were only saved from it going to extra time by some very positive contributions in the last minutes from a subbed Breel Embolo and the goal-line clearance of the year from Ricardo Rodriguez. For a team of players almost exclusively from Europe's top 4 leagues playing against a Northern Ireland side almost entirely devoid of star names though that was a woeful performance from the Swiss, especially from Seferovic. If only NI had've played like that in the home leg and not had the horrendous refereeing decisions and the tie would've been very different. They'll be hit hard in the next few years with the retirement of Gareth McAuley and Aaron Hughes, and Chris Brunt and Steven Davis are not all that much younger than them either, but even though all but two of the younger players in the squad play in the Championship/SPL or below I still have hope that the team will continue to improve.

Unfortunately this looks like the end of the road for Michael O'Neill with the team, which is a shame as I don't think he's taken them as far as he can yet. Best of luck to him in the Scotland job or wherever he goes and I hope whoever takes over from him will keep playing them like O'Neill was because their passing, ball control, tackling and game management has been as close to world class as non-world class players like them can ever hope to achieve.

Of course I want the Republic to pull off a miracle performance at home on Tuesday, but it'll still be a shame if the Ireland team who play constantly on a wing and a prayer qualify and the one who play beautiful football don't.

Belgium, Tunisia and Panama, can't see us having any bother getting out of that group. Hopefully

I've also just realized that Iron Maiden have clashed the Newcastle gig with one of the Semi Finals. Arse.

It's not like England are going to make it that far.

Still like watching them though.

By the way, Iron Maiden are playing in Newcastle on July 31st and the World Cup finishes way before then.

We'll make it a lot harder than it has to be, seems to be our specialty
I imagine we'll come second in the group then lose to Poland or Columbia in the last 16; if we get lucky and manage to get past them then I can't see us going beyond the Quarter finals, which on paper look to be spectacular.

Can't be many matches where both managers get sacked. Both Boro and Wednesday sacked their managers even though they are both mid table. It's getting ridiculous.

You feel sorry for someone losing their job right before xmas, but this being football they'll both bounce back with someone else soon enough.

Something must be going on behind the scenes with Monk though, why you'd sack someone on the edge of the play offs at this point of the season is crazy. Guess they ignored the warning of what happened when Brum did that.
