Re: Next Announcement
Well, The Wildhearts were excellent last night, even with one with a hernia, one with a groin strain and one with an artificial leg..

Re: Next Announcement
Wildhearts have always been great whenever I've seen them.
Give me their 'pop shite' over some grunting, chest-beating nonsense or some shrieking raccoons any day.

Decent announcment from what I have heard of the bands. Does anyone know why Shvpes dropped out?

Thy Art & MaroonDrive to go. I reckon they could get Visions of Atlantis, Avantasia & Gamma Ray with the money saved...

Death By Ki - Thrash/Metalcore
Xero - Progressive Rock/Alternative Metal
Midnight Prophecy - Trad
Voluntas - Progressive Thrash Metal
Voidlurker - Doom
Stormcast - Melodic/Atmospheric Death Metal
Fractions - Metalcore/Progressive Metal
Some really good bands in there, will certainly be spending some time in the NB this year (and not just because main is crap

As for the Wildhearts it's a brilliant booking; improved my Saturday a fair bit. Got to hand it to them, I was expecting a sophie band to get bumped up

Maybe they realised very few wanted them. They were good in a local pub venue when I saw them and a nice friendly bunch of lads. However I'm not sure they would've gone down well at Bloodstock. The closest we have got to having Maiden ha!

Rise to Remain played the main stage in 2008, if you're going by the dubious Dicko = Maiden & Spawn of Dicko = Dicko logic.

They went down like a sack of wet turds too. They had no business being on the main stage, especially considering that they didn't even have an album the time. :/

Re: Next Announcement
This band could be worth putting on the wishlist
Buffalo Crows with Paul Mario Day the first Iron Maiden vocalist (knocks spots off Dicko)

Well I'll be damned! I had no idea, main stage without an album, wow!

Re: Next Announcement
I reckon The Raven Age will probably end up on the main stage next year. Steve Harris is forcing them down Iron Maiden fans' throats by taking them on tour yet again in North America this summer. Sadly I will see them for the sixth time or something in Montreal in a couple of weeks. They're also opening for Alter Bridge in December but I won't take my seat until they've finished in protest at such a shit band constantly getting good slots.

Can't really notice anything new there...except for the fact they have taken away a campsite unless I'm mistaken. Interesting. Selling badly?
