As long as it's not too hot and it isn't windy.

Doesn't look too bad according to the Beeb.

BBC and Met Office both saying different things at the mo. I'm not trusting any weather forecast until Friday morning, and even then there's a good chance it won't be accurate.

Agreed. This mindset doesn't help when packing on Wednesday night though :eyes:

Obviously pack for all eventualities, my point was that folk shouldn't be panicking.

Just going to do the usual and pack for both tipping it down and a sunny heatwave. That way it'll turn out grey and mild.

One day of rain isnt too bad... although its very shitty for August. I hate having rain wet hair so better pack a few hoodies and hats.

So finally some agreement from BBC and the met office - wet Friday then generally OK. Assuming it has been a dry week as they suggest hopefully the ground will just absorb it and all good. Still going to need to pack something more than a t-shirt though.

I just noticed that the Saturday forecast is for up to 49mph south-westerly winds in the afternoon. Anyone who was at BOA the last time there was some of these winds might have not so fond memories.
Remember to put your tent up with the door facing away from the wind direction.

The Boardmasters festival in Cornwall has just been cancelled due to the storm warnings (specifically the wind) for Friday and Saturday .... doesn't bode well

Using the MetOffice (only one I really have any trust in) it doesn't look too bad, not great, but not terrible

Cornwall also gets hit first with wind from that direction so would be worse there than in the Midlands.

The hourly forecast on Accuweather doesn't look too terrible.

Saturday will be a bit shitty but the winds are to ease by around 7pm
