I'd say its likely they are still trying to recover from spending all that money on them the first time around, as well as spending loads of money last year on Scorpions and it not selling particularly well. I wish they'd learn their lesson and actually spend within their means, but apparently not.
I think the Mercyful Fate train has completely passed. I'm sure I heard somewhere that they tried but it just didn't work out. Its just yet another major metal band Bloodstock miss out on.
