At least they're last on on the Sophie stage Sunday night so are very easy to dodge.

Re: Next Announcement
Sylosis far too low down
Bury tomorrow can do one
Hatebreed can do one
PL now as SG is a proper cop out
Arctangent it is

Re: Next Announcement
Hatebreed, Bury Tomorrow, Sylosis.
Makes sense; the comments & discussions across social media last year were definitely full of complaints at the dearth of screamocore. Definitely remember that.

Re: Next Announcement
Well I'm disappointed as nothing for me with this announcement, but will have to check out some of those bands as not heard most of them.
Whilst I'm happy to see Paradise Lost bumped to SG, it is surprising and the festival must be really struggling to book bands...

This is certainly true, and it's quite funny that they've been dropped down to the Sophie stage.
Not necessarily, Sophie headline imo is the second best slot of the festival as not only is it last band to play on the day, but also a longer set than special guest (1hr 15 approx). As they headline Sunday Sophie, this makes Hatebreed the absolute last band to play so one of the best slots for exposure. Providing people don't go home early........

Re: Next Announcement
Hatebreed - again? what a load of fucking dogshit
Bury Tomorrow - apparently they've played "every festival you can name", but no, I've never heard of them. Watching their video they sound like another shit Parkway Drive metalcore load of shit. No thanks. And are Paradise Lost special guests then? Gee, that's underwhelming.
Sylosis - are they still a thing? Always found them forgettable
Toxic Holocaust - dull version of Skeletonwitch
Exhumed - some bland DM to fill up the slots in the tent
Winterfylleth - i do like them but they play everywhere
Necrot - death metal punk sounds like a hideous combination
All in all, an utter heap of utter fucking dogshit (glad I can say that here as the FB is the usual OMG HATEBREED ARE GOING TO TEAR DOWN THE SOPHIE STAGE, YAY SYLOSIS, and the usual shitswamp of everyone tagging their mates).
This looks thus far to be the worst BOA line up ever, even worse than BOA15, the mighty Brutal Assault is calling me once again...

Re: Next Announcement
Where is it confirmed that Paradise Lost are now special guests? If so, that's fucking ridiculous that 2 of the 3 special guests weren't even announced as such and have just been bumped up for now reason...
I'm getting so sick of seeing Hatebreed on the line up every other damn year.
I love Winterfylleth, but this is their 5th time in 10 years.
I laughed out loud when I saw Bury Tomorrow on the line up.
What even is this festival anymore?

Re: Next Announcement
They should have been going after Destruction, Havok, Suicidal Angels...... all playing the August fests..... not filling the main stage up with Sylosis and Bury Tomorrow.

Nice to see I wasn't wrong.

They do want to spend any money on decent thrash, so they just get grandads on the cheap like Diamond Head and Sacred Reich.
Bands like Jinjer, Bury Tomorrow, Skindred, Hatebreed, Black Dahlia Murder, Sylosis, Life Of Agony and Bloodywood are clearly what they want to spunk the big bucks on these days, say goodbye to that festival you used to love

Re: Next Announcement
Hatebreed are the one Hardcore band I actually quite like, but they're something I want to see on a Friday or Saturday afternoon, not in a prestigious slot closing the festival.
The rest is just toss.
